So here's the question of the day: Are snow days better when you're the student or the teacher?
I'm not going to lie, I think it's when you're the teacher. I admit that I had a little bit of trouble falling back asleep this morning because I was pretty excited! When you're a student and get a snow day, you just get a break from the often mindless movement from class to class and don't have to do more homework. When you're the teacher, though, you don't have to stand up and do your song and dance OR deal with the students who are dealing with the often mindless movement from class to class. Now let me pause to say that I truly do love my job. I am 24 years old and honestly cannot think of anywhere else I would rather be. It's just nice every now and then to feel like the universe is cutting you a break.
It's been rough to get back into the swing of things since "Clue" ended, but hopefully that process will go quickly.
The other advantage of this snow day is that a dear friend from college is stuck with me! It's a long and harrowing story involving crazy travel plans but the moral of the story is that we ended up going on a fun Target adventure after the roads were plowed and salted like a good beef jerky. I made an epic purchase, my friends: A PENGUIN SHAPED HUMIDIFIER. The humidifier was necessary, since my apartment is absurdly dry, but the penguin shape was just icing on the cake. Boyfriend will approve.
Top Chef: Texas finale is tonight! Team Sarah!
